  • Prime numbers:
    • prime number (or a prime) is a natural number greater than 1 that is not a product of two smaller natural number.
  • Square numbers:
    • The product of an integer of itself
    • 1,4,9,16
  • Rational and Irrational:
    • a number described as rational if it can be written as a fraction. the decimal form of a rational number has either a terminating or a recurring decimal. Examples of rational numbers are 17, -3 and 12.4. 
  • Pi π
    • ratio of a circles circumference to its diameter
    • 3.14159

    • any functions that involve circles or spheres or sometimes waves
        circumference: Pi x diameter
        diameter: circumference / Pi
        radius: circumference / 2 Pi
        area: Pi x Radius2
        surface area: 4 x Pi x radius2

  • Euler's number e
    • it is the limit of (1+1/n)n as n approaches infinity, an expression that arises in the study of compound interest
